Personal Instruction Overview
CAMP 2A provides personalized firearms training specific to your needs and goals (Pistols and Rifles). Private training is for those who prefer to learn independent of a group setting, or only with family, friends, or spouse.
Each session is planned and prepared by communicating with the instructor in advance to make sure each topic(s) and subject matter is covered thoroughly.
Whether you are a beginner or looking to improve your existing skills, our expert instructors will guide you through each step toward safe and effective firearm proficiency.

What to expect in private firearms training:
- Customized Training: Every session is a minimum of 1.5 hours and customized to your level of experience and personal goals. Sessions are adapted to your learning style and pace.
- Expert Instruction: Our certified instructors provide expert guidance each step of the way, and are dedicated exclusively to helping you become proficient.
- Focused on Fundamentals: You’ll build upon a solid foundation, developing the right attitude, knowledge, and skills to safely operate, properly maintain, and accurately shoot firearms.
- Personalized Feedback: You’ll receive focused attention and instruction. Necessary corrections, adjustments, and suggestions will be made immediately to ensure proper and continuous improvement.
- Traditional, Simulator, and Virtual Reality Training: You’ll learn with traditional training techniques, but also with SIRT/laser training firearms and the Smokeless Range Laser Training Simulator before the live range. You’ll also have an add-on option to train with the immersive ACE Virtual Reality Training System.
Private Training Pricing: 1.5 Hours (90 Minutes)
- 1 Person: $145 ($60 per additional hour)
- 2 People: $195 ($90 per additional hour)
- 3 People: $245 ($120 per additional hour)
- 4 People: $295 ($150 per additional hour)

PLEASE NOTE: Private Training includes a combination of Classroom, Simulator, and Live Range training. The allocation of time spent at each of these settings is dependent upon the experience level and preference of the trainee(s). Each session is customized to meet the goals and objectives of the trainee(s) while ensuring that the right attitude, knowledge, and skills are developed with safety as the number one priority.

Range fees are covered, and a firearm to shoot at the range is provided for at no charge.
Ammo & Gear Provided
50 rounds of ammo, targets, and eye & ear protection provided at no cost.
Important Requirements and Information
Please note the following important information before registering for this course:
- Instruction and Simulator training will be conducted in a classroom setting. Live-fire is conducted at a gun range.
- Certain classroom locations are NOT wheelchair accessible or may require the use of stairs. If there is a medical condition or physical disability the instructor should be aware of, please contact us prior to registering for this course.
Identification
Bring your valid Illinois Driver’s License/State ID and your valid FOID Card. Both are required to attend private training sessions.
- To attend private training sessions for rifles, you need to be 18 years of age or older.
- To attend private training sessions for pistols, you need to be 21 years of age or older.
Safety First
DO NOT bring your firearm(s) into the instruction facility or classroom. The instructor will provide the firearm required for qualification at the gun range.
NO live ammunition is allowed in the instruction facility or classroom. The instructor will provide the ammunition for qualification at the gun range.
NO alcohol or drugs prior to or during the course. Any indication thereof will lead to immediate removal from the course.
Dress Code
- Upper body: Shoulders, chest, and abdomen must be covered.
- Lower body: Pants or long shorts covering thighs.
- Feet: Fully covered outdoor footwear (No sandals/flip-flops).
Cancellation Policy: Students are required to cancel at least 72 hours in advance for a full refund. Classes canceled less than 72 hours before will not be refunded, though credit may be applied. Stripe fees (2.9% + 0.30) are non-refundable.
